Mother’s Day 2023 – Facebook Competition 

Terms & Conditions:

Alexandra Plaza, of this Mall, Motherwell Shopping Centre, Murchison Mall, King Senzangakhona Shopping Centre, Sontonga Mall, Thulamahashe Plaza, and The Crossing (the “Shopping Centres” or the “Shopping Centre”) managed by Capital Land Asset Management (“Capital Land”) are conducting a promotional competition, which is called “MOTHERS DAY FACEBOOK COMPETITION


All participants, by entering the “MOTHERS DAY FACEBOOK COMPETITION”, agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions:


1. HOW TO ENTER
1.1 Answer the competition question (i.e., Tell us which store in our shopping centre is Mom’s favourite shop?) from 09 May – 15 May 2023.

Post the answer in the comments section of Mother’s Day Facebook Competition post.

1.2 The Facebook pages are defined as follows –
1.2.1 @AlexandraPlazaJHB;
1.2.2 @diepslootmall;
1.2.3 @KingSenzangakhonaShoppingCentre;
1.2.4 @MotherwellShoppingCentre;
1.2.5 @MurchisonMall;
1.2.6 @SontongaMallGP;
1.2.7 @TheCrossingShoppingCentre;
1.2.8 @ThulamahashePlazaMP
1.3 A random draw will take place and one (1) shopper who entered the competition will win a Hamper worth six-hundred rand (R600), and winner is selected by Capital Land on each Shopping Centre’s Facebook page.
1.4 Entering is defined as, commenting on the Mother’s Day competition post in the comments section of the competition, between 09 May 2023 and 15 May2023.
1.5 Competition entries are limited to one entry per person.


2. WHO QUALIFIES TO ENTER:
2.1 To participate in this competition, you must be a South African citizen or a permanent resident of South Africa with a valid passport or ID.
2.2 All entrants must be 18 years or older as at 09 May 2023.
2.3 To participate in this competition, you must answer the competition question by commenting in the comment section of the Facebook post on the Shopping Centre’s Facebook page.


3. THE PRIZE
The Prize is defined as follows per Shopping Centre:
3.1 One (1) winner will win one (1) hamper valued at Six-hundred-rand (R600) supplied by Capital Land at each participating Shopping Centre.


4. PRIZE SELECTION & AWARDING PROCESS
4.1 The winner will be announced by Tuesday, 16 May 2023.
4.2 The winner will be contacted via Facebook Messenger and their contact details requested for further correspondence.
4.3 The winner agrees to their name being used for the Shopping Centre’s marketing, advertising and reporting purposes.
4.4 The winner has two (2) weeks from the announcement to respond. If no response is received within fourteen (14) days the prize will be forfeited.


5. IMPORTANT NOTICES
5.1 The prize cannot be exchanged, it is non-transferable, and it is not redeemable for cash or any other prize.
5.2 Participants are responsible for all costs related to entering this competition, including cellular, data, and travel costs.
5.3 The Shopping Centre reserves the right to end the competition at their discretion.


6. GENERAL
6.1 Employees, directors, agents, contractors, tenants and their staff, and consultants of the Shopping Centre and their immediate families, associates or business partners may not enter the competition.

6.2 In the event of a dispute with regard to any aspect of the competition and/or these terms and
conditions, the decision of the Shopping Centre will be final and binding and no correspondence may be entered into.

6.3 The Shopping Centre may refuse to award the prize if entry procedures or these terms and conditions have not been adhered to or if it detects any irregularities, fraudulent practices or unlawful tampering.

6.4 The competition is in no way sponsored, endorsed, or administered with Facebook.

 

7. PRIVACY POLICY
We confirm that the owners of the Shopping Centre and their agents are compliant with the Protection of Personal Information Act, 4 of 2013 (“the Act”), as amended from time to time, including any regulations and/or code of conduct made under the Act. The owners of the Shopping Centre are compliant in respect of the collection and processing of personal information (as defined in Chapter 1 of the Act) to the extent necessary for the completion of the marketing, advertising and promotions objectives. By entering this competition, you confirm that you understand your right to privacy and that the information submitted by yourself, or your duly authorised representative, will be processed in accordance with the requirements of the Act. You hereby give your consent for the Shopping Centre to collect and process your personal information for the purpose of this competition, the Shopping Centre marketing, advertising and promotions. Notwithstanding anything to the contrary contained herein, you also consent to the sharing of your personal information amongst the Shopping Centre’s employees, agents or representatives. Save in the event of any gross negligent acts which may be attributed to the owners of the Shopping Centre, you hereby indemnify the owners of the shopping centre against any liability whatsoever arising from any non-compliance with any statutory obligations contained in the Act.
